The first part of our hike was strenuous but it did have several nice spots for us to take in some nice views.
Max set the pace much of the way. Not sure where that dog got his energy but he was a true trail blazer.
We eventually made it to the top of Cheoah Bald which is the highest point of this hike at over 5,000 feet in elevation. We knew we were behind schedule but stopped once again to rest a bit and take in the view.
